SECONDARY SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER -Hatch Valley Public Schools

Hatch Valley Public Schools is hiring full-time High School Secondary Special Education Teacher.

Job Duties:

Provide a basic core program for special education students at the high school level consistent with the state
education code requirements and develop cohesive IEP’s; work cooperatively with classroom teachers who
have special education students in regular classes, interpreting the abilities and disabilities of these students
to the entire staff, and assisting the student with regular class assignments; confer frequently with parents
and professional staff members regarding the educational, social and personal need of such students; and
assists other professional staff members in resolving the unique educational needs of such students.
Position is not assigned classroom with a set of assigned students but rather consists of support services and
individualized teaching for students at the high school level (grades 9-12) that require special education.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and New Mexico Teaching License with Special Education
endorsement or ability to obtain same by start of employment.
