The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) Program is a year-round educational program that provides students with relevant professional experience while pursuing a graduate degree. The position requires participation in the CFO Pipeline program. The program pairs the student with a mentor and subject matter experts and requires regular on-site attendance (typically one day per week). The purpose of the program is to provide the student with basic training on the financial systems, laboratory navigation, and financial and accounting processes and procedures. Upon completion of the Pipeline Program students will be deployed throughout the CFO organization.
Students will be expected to join the CFO master’s in business administration (MBA) program. The CFO MBA program is designed for working professionals wanting to continue their education without compromising work experience and career growth opportunities. The program, offered through New Mexico State University, allows individuals to obtain their MBA in 24 months online with all tuition and fees covered. Successful completion of the student assignment and the MBA program may result in regular, full-time employment at LANL.
