Maintenance Worker Helper

This position is located in the Agricultural Research Service (ARS), National Animal Disease Center (NADC). There are 2 available positions.
In this position, you will assist higher level employees with plumbing, sheet metal, electrical, carpentry, painting, masonry duties.Assist with maintenance and repair of vacuum, oil, and water pumps; bearings, belts, temperature control valves; steam traps; and electrical systems.
Assist with repair of drains and plumbing systems.
Use measuring instruments for HVAC and electrical maintenance and repairs.
Ability to use pertinent repair and maintenance manuals.
Use the proper tools, equipment and required materials for duties to which assigned.
Knowledge of using concrete, painting, and carpentry work.
