Playa Lakes Joint Venture (PLJV) is seeking a GIS Analyst to help assist our landscape scale habitat conservation activities. PLJV is a non-profit organization whose mission is to conserve the playas, prairies, and landscapes of the western Great Plains through partnerships for the benefit of birds, other wildlife, and people. The primary role of this position is to provide data management and technical support to help guide targeted, on-the-ground landscape conservation in collaboration with land trusts and other regional partners. Primary duties will include spatial analysis, habitat modeling, data collection and management, programming, and cartography. This position requires regular writing (technical and non-technical) and communication with people inside and outside the organization. Occasional travel will be required to attend meetings and conferences (usually less than 5 consecutive days of travel at a time).
