The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for ensuring the day to day operations of all intellectual disability clinical services and for integration of clinical services in the agency’s programs. The clinical services director ensures that quality ICF/IID services are delivered to consumers in accordance with state and Federal regulations. The clinical services director is accountable for ensuring that SMEM ICF/IID services meet quality guidelines and that all ICF/IID programs meet regulatory standards. This includes responsibility for planning, developing, coordinating, and supervising the delivery of clinical services. The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for maintaining a bed occupancy rate of no less than 98%. The clinical services director is accountable for clinical portions of ICF/IID survey outcomes and for ensuring that timely plans of correction are submitted so as to ensure that licensure at each facility remains in good standing. Responsibility also includes integration and oversight of Occupational Therapy and Behavior Therapy and contracted ancillary clinical services, to plan and deliver measurable goals and objectives. The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for ensuring positive relationships with funding sources and surveyors by performing the following essential duties personally or through subordinate managers. The clinical services director is also responsible for maintaining all programmatic and operational records in a manner that complies with all state and federal regulatory agencies.
