Child Welfare Program Specialist

Leads and participates in the review and monitoring of State child and family service programs, including Child Protective Services, Foster Care, Adoption, Family Support and Preservation, and Independent Living. Monitors child welfare programs in order to assure that states operate in conformity with applicable State plan requirements and other requirements. Providing advice, consultation and technical assistance to State and Local Governments and Tribes. Prepares documents, such as preliminary assessments, final reports, letters of notification, and other documents that provide details of a State's conformity with State Plan requirements.
