Behavior Technician
Behavior Change Institute
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) provide 1:1 behavioral intervention to
individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. RBTs work in client/family home
settings under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Clinician.
Behavior Technicians implement behavioral strategies to improve socially significant
behaviors and the quality of life for individuals affected by ASD.This includes
implementation of a treatment plan developed by a BCBA addressing functional
communication, challenging behavior, daily living, vocational, and social skills. The
Behavior Technician is responsible for monitoring child progress of goals outlined in the
treatment plan by reporting progress to the BCBA through daily data collection and
clinical documentation.
